PROUDLY PRESENT OUR NEW ART THERAPY PROGRAM!

We are now proudly offering an additional Art Therapy service that specifically focuses on your child’s inner well-being by a certified art therapist Anastasiya Piskareva, AThR!

Art Therapy for Children and Adolescents

Art therapy is a gentle, fun and dynamic way to work with children.  It involves the creative process of art-making to explore and resolve personal issues as well as improve the physical, inner well-being of your child. In addition, making art engages many parts of the brain and senses such as sight, touch, hearing and smell, prompting the mind to act to its full potential.

Such multi-sensory approach to therapy is especially effective with children, who are more attuned to perceiving the world through all senses rather than just hearing and sight, most commonly relied upon by adults. A trained art therapist can help your child express oneself fully, effectively process difficult feelings and emotions, and facilitate healing – all without relying exclusively on verbal communication. Art therapy is a powerful system of healing, whether your child suffers from trauma or is in need of help with daily challenges.

How does it work?

Through careful observation of creative process, Anastasiya will be able to assess your child’s development, behaviour, feelings and concerns. The created artwork will be viewed in symbols and metaphors pertaining to your child’s experiences and authentic self-expression. As a parent, you will get an insight into your child’s challenges, strengths and opportunities for growth. You will also receive a chance to work as a team with the therapist and teachers to achieve long-lasting change and build a strong support system for your child.

Consultation Session

The informative session with the parents involves explanation of benefits, confidentiality and consent for therapy as well as collection of background information in order to gain better understanding of your child’s needs.

Art Therapy Sessions

A minimum of 6-8 sessions and regular attendance of at least once a week is advised to maximize the effectiveness and experience noticeable improvement.

All art materials included!

Parental Update Session

Parental updates can be requested at your discretion and will help you keep track of your child’s progress.
